active Orbx Global Base causing CTD only when flying in America

Hi,

 

Whenever I fly in the USA with Orbx Global base pack enabled, I get a CTD roughly half an hour into the flight. I have tried one particular flight (KDFW - EGLL) 3 times, failing near to the same point each time. Upon disabling the base pack, I acheived the same flight with no problems (even using the same routing, weather, time, aircraft, etc.). When the sim crashed, there was never a 'fatal error', 'dxgi device hung', 'out of memory' or anything of the sort - it was a straignt case of the sim freezing and dissapearing. Windows event viewer shows a crash, blaming it on 'ntdll.dll'.

 

I have identified the problem as to do with Orbx's base pack as the issue doesn't exist when recreating the flight having disabled global base.

 

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated as the only alternative is to use default scenery every time I fly in the US - not an enjoyable experience.

 

Specs for reference:

i5-8600K @ 4GHz

Nvidia RTX2070 Super

32GB DDR4 2666Mhz

P3D is on a 1TB Seagate HDD @7200rpm

Hi, welcome to the forums 

 

Please identify with coordinates where this occurs.

 

And please describe how you are disabling Global base.

I should add that this problem is persistent wherever I fly in the US - Seattle, Dallas, New York, San Francisco - etc.

as

As for disabling global base, I uninstall it through Orbx Central - before it would have been installed in the sim root folder
