Patrice-ftx
Hi ORBX team, I bought TE GB a few days ago and installed it (complete bundle with discount). With this product there is a problem when used in conjunction with ORBX regions Europe Ireland ans North Ireland It appears that the Ireland sea has many problems, as shown in the screenshot below. This snapshot shows several areas in the Ireland sea with different colors that appear when in flight (darker blue, grey, brown) and square shape (Red arrows on the right side). This does not appear when ORBX Regional scenes (SCO, WLS, GB) are used, as shown in the screenshot below (all the landclass form regional scenes are here (IRL, NIR, SCO, WLS and GB) Apart this problem, there seems that the Ireland is not fully covered by the ORBX regional scenes (IRL and NIR) (red arrows on the left side) So, could you give me an explanation about these 2 facts? Thanks. Patrice.
Nick Cooper
Hello Patrice, Question 1. I do not see what you do in the exact same scenario. Question 2. anyone who zooms out this far will see what you do. It does not indicate that EU Ireland does not cover the island, it indicates that you are so far away that you can see the edges of the loaded scenery. You can see the same edge on the north coast of France in my image. Landclass and photo scenery do not behave in the same way, you can also see TENL in my shot, far outside the radius of the loaded landclass. (It doesn't matter that it is now P3D, the files are the same)
Patrice-ftx
Hi Nick, Thank you for your answers. So, point 2 is Ok for me, I understand. But what about point 1: In what way should I search to solve this? - I reinstalled ORBX Global >> no change. - I controlled files in Global, vector, IRL and NIR >> no change. - I controlled files in OLC >> no change. Is it a problem of terrain.cfg? of Vector? Or another idea? Could you show me what you see in photo 1 with the same zoom level? Thanks. Patrice. Nick Cooper
I am not sure what we are seeing, though I think it is intended to be the offshore shallower water. I note that it looks much better out of an aircraft window that it does for space.
Patrice-ftx
Hi Nick, So, I see that you have the same behavior as I. So, there is no mean to avoid this? These color areas are very annoying when seen in flight. It is not natural. Thanks. Patrice.
Nick Cooper
Hello Patrice, I do not know the answer, so I have asked for the developer to take a look, after Christmas of course. Season's greetings to you.
