Mike_UK
Good afternoon everyone, I've recently purchased P3D having previously been an FSX user, and can't seem to get Orbx Central to recognise that P3D is installed, despite reinstalling P3D a number of times. Is this a known issue, or is there a simple workaround for getting Central to recognise P3d?
Nick Cooper
Hello Mike, welcome to the forums. Do you see a screen offering to check for missing simulators?
Mike_UK
Hi Nick - thanks! No I don't see that screen I'm afraid. I can see where the drop down box for selecting simulator should be, but I have no option to change it.
Nick Cooper
Usually, reinstalling just the client and of course running P3D at least once will fix this. Orbx Central looks for a Windows registry entry for P3D and then a copy of its exe file in the location recorded there.
Mike_UK
I figured that would be the case. I've just uninstalled both Orbx Central and P3D, then reinstalled P3D, run it, and then reinstalled Orbx Central, which has now found P3D! Many thanks for the help!
