johnboy
I have my 'C' drive as a boot drive, it had over 100gig remaining. I installed Great Britain True Earth South, Central and North yesterday on my 'D' drive which is my sole drive for P3D and XP11. After installing I find that I only have 10gig of space left on my 'C' drive. Is this down to ORBX? cheers, Johnboy
Nick Cooper
Hello, by how much is your D drive now down on free space?
johnboy
10 gig (of 250) cheers, John
Nick Cooper
It seems then that the product was not installed to the D drive, but to the C drive. Have you looked for the files at all?
johnboy
Hi Nick, I have eventually found the culprit in C:\\users\johnb\Appdata\roaming\Orbx\Central\ back-up 125 gig of back up files. Now....can I move these files somewhere else and just bring them out if I need them, or do you suggest something else. cheers, John
johnboy
Hi Nick, I've just re-read your original post and realised I had read it wrong, My 'C' drive is down by over 100gig, in answer to your original post. cheers, John
Nick Cooper
You can move the files but you will also need to change the backup folder in Orbx Central to point to the new location, or just remove them altogether. If you do move them, keep the folder name and its contents' file structure.
johnboy
Hi Nick, thanks for your help, I will have a think. Would it be possible to uninstall Orbx Central and re-install it on another drive, to keep my 'C' drive clear? cheers, John
Nick Cooper
Hello John, Orbx Central itself takes up very little space but offers you the choice of where to put all the files.
johnboy
Hi Nick, thanks for all your help, I will sort it all out this evening. Just as an aside, I see you are located in York, I shall be moving to the East Riding in the New Year, to a place called Wilberfoss, looking forward to it. cheers, all the best, John
Nick Cooper
Hello John, very nice, I can almost see Wilberfoss from our upstairs windows and it's where our post is delivered from and our "waste water" goes to.
