David_MC
I have an issue with the terrain at certain airports. I will often get these weird cliffs sitting on runways and taxiways. I have attached a screenshot taken at KMPI (Mariposa Yosemite), however this issue crops up at several airports around Pacific Northwest and Northern California and I haven't noticed it outside of these regions. I have run AEC in vector with no relief. The only other scenery I have installed besides ORBX Global and Regions products is FreemeshX which should not be affecting any USA scenery as it does not have any. I am running P3D V4 with Hotfix 1 installed (I have not installed Hotfix 2 yet).
Nick Cooper
Hello, mesh can be disregarded, it does not affect the elevation of an airport, nor does it cause problems within an airport boundary. Vector can also be ruled out, as there are no Vector files at all for it, or for O68. The answer probably lies in your use of a Navigation data update. The default airport is named O68 but as you refer to it as KMPI, that seems to indicate that you have "updated" the database. Elevation anomalies of this type are common in the case of airports that have one ICAO code in the simulator and another in the updated addon database. David_MC
I did have updated navigation data installed, so I uninstalled it and reinstalled the P3D scenery and that seems to have corrected the issue. Thank you for your help.
