F737MAX Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 Operating system: Win 10 Pro Simulator: P3D v4.5 Screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/aw848X0.jpg Issue: I installed Central 4 with seemingly no issue. Despite having a long-standing issue where Central thinks I also have P3D v1 installed (I've checked my registry, but cannot locate the key), I was able to select v4. Central then updated 8 sceneries for me. I was able to select insertion points and then I closed Central. Upon opening Lorby-SI's P4AO, it came up with a warning error stating that PeopleFlow was not installed, then after clicking ok on message, it registered PeopleFlow as a new add-on. The next time I opened Central, I was not able to select my insertion points from the drop down lists and the top left of the settings page reads Prepar3D v1. I didn't migrate to library as I already had Orbx products located outside the main P3D folder structure and used a symbolic link. Any help appreciated. Thanks. P.S. TE Netherlands and TE GB South don't appear in the Europe section of Central. central.log
Mitchell Williamson Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Hi! If your phantom Prepar3D v1 installation has the same path as Prepar3D v4, this may be causing Central to be confused between the two. 8 hours ago, F737NG said: (I've checked my registry, but cannot locate the key) The key we use for Prepar3D v1 is located at: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\LockheedMartin\Prepar3D or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\LockheedMartin\Prepar3D and the value within it is called SetupPath If needs to exist at either of those paths for Central to pick it up, so one of them should exist and be deleted.
loti Posted August 8, 2019 Posted August 8, 2019 I have in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\LockheedMartin the paths for P3Dv4\ and in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\LockheedMartin\ a path for P3Dv3 but I don`t use P3dv3 never on this Computer. Shall I delete that entrance complete. Central 4.02 shows P3dv3 and not P3dv4 on my system....? Lothar
The Merowinger Posted August 8, 2019 Posted August 8, 2019 Maybe you have used the EMT in the past? This could explain the entries for an older Version of P3D. Kai
Mitchell Williamson Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 Hi! We've addressed this issue in Orbx Central v4.0.4 Run Central again and then make sure Prepar3D v4 is selected (at the top left), then press 'Sync Simulator' under Help, Settings. This should prevent any phantom installs of P3Dv1-v3 conflicting with P3Dv4 within Central.
