Shark_YT
So, I bought FTX Global base around Xmas 2018 and installed it without ever having flown outside of my FTX NZ scenery. Because of this, I assumed what I saw was what Global looked like, it wasn't until very recently that I tried a reinstall and realized that my Global base has not installed. I've reinstalled at least twenty times now, once even after uninstalling all of my other ORBX products and nothing has had an effect. I'm pretty sure no files even show up in my scenery library, I'm rather annoyed having paid 100 bucks for this scenery and I want to start flying in some areas other than my home country without my sim looking like garbage. Nick Cooper
Hello, welcome to the forums. It looks like at the moment the product is not installed. Please use FTX Central to install it again, wait until it has finished and then attach your scenery.cfg file please.
Shark_YT
Do you mean upload the actual file into a post or copy and paste the text?
Nick Cooper
Please attach the file to your next post. Thanks.
Shark_YT
Here's the cfg, I'm not sure what's wrong at all. I installed again last night scenery.cfg
Nick Cooper
Thanks, the scenery.cfg file is showing that the product and the libraries are installed. Here is a topic that shows you what you should be seeing, so you can compare it with what you are seeing.
Shark_YT
I'm a little confused, I can send screenshots of what the sim looks like with the scenery enabled in the libraries and with it unchecked. I just need to know the names of the files to disable in my libraries.
Nick Cooper
Hello Global Base replaces the default textures, so it cannot be enabled and disabled in the scenery library. Apologies, I forgot to link the topic, so here it is for you to do a comparison.
Shark_YT
Ah, the problem with that is that I use P3D V4 which has different default scenery to FSX. So I can't tell from looking at those since they're from FSX.
Nick Cooper
Hello, the default and Orbx replacement files are exactly the same and look no different in either simulator. The only difference is the way that they are displayed. These are the default simulators:
Shark_YT
P3D's location selection works differently and won't accept the coords from England, so I will show a picture of Sydney. The scenery is still supposedly installed and has not been changed since I installed it last when I began this post.

You need only enter the coordinates in to map, in exactly the same way as is done in FSX.
Shark_YT
Actually, it doesn't work. I've already tried, the coordinates on P3D's map are in S and E. It won't accept the ones you have provided Edit: Apologies, I got it working
Nick Cooper
You can edit the entire coordinate in the same way as you edit anything in Notepad for example. The N, E, W and S can be highlighted and changed along with all the other characters in the map coordinates.
Shark_YT
Alrighty, it doesn't appear to match either of the screenshots provided, but you're the expert so does it look like everything is in order? Edit: It seems to match with the photo of the scenery working so I suppose that's fine then, I do wish Rarotonga had buildings though as there is a town there but the entire island is just trees and a default airport.
