resolved Unexpected error

Hi.

 

Hope someone can help.

 

I've decided to get my simulator up and running again after a lengthy lay up (1 and half year). I booted up FTX central and it required 5 updates to the library and scenery. As the orbx library was installing, it stopped at 22% complete and crashed. I had to close FTX central.

 

As I opened it again I get this message: An unexpected message occurred. Please send Orbx staff the %LocalAppData%\Orbx\ftxc3.log

 

I've checked a few older threads where a guy pointed to some topics but they have disappeared.

welcome to the forums.

When the error message appears, you should be offered the choice to save the log to your desktop.

Please do that and then attach a copy of it to your next post and we will be able to help.

I'm not offered that choice. I only get an 'OK' which closes the box.

In that case, please go to C:\Users\your user name\AppData\Local\Orbx where

you will find the ftxc3.log file.

I don't think so, those error messages are all from 2017.

You need ftxc3.log

One thing I will say is that I mistakenly had FSX open as the install started. I hope this will be unrelated.

if you untick "Hide extensions for known file types" it will help you find ftxc3.log
