SteveHold
When I installed GB South using FTX, the process automatically created a backup in the location I nominated. Today I bought GB Central but there was no prompt for a backup location and no backup was created. So, I have three questions: 1. Is a backup highly desirable? 2. How should I create a backup. 3. Where can I find information about how to recover from a backup if needed? Apologies for the noob questions!
Nick Cooper
Hello, with these products, you don't really need a backup, since the download is made up of compressed files and the final part of the installation takes place on your PC. There is no limit on the products, you can download and install them at will. If you feel that you must have a backup, just save a copy of the installed files somewhere safe. SteveHold
Thanks for your reply. I guess my confusion arises from the fact that the first install insisted on making a backup so I concluded that it must be de rigeur. Is there some reason for the difference in behaviour of the first and second installs?
SteveHold
The answer lies buried beneath the Install Options button.
