P3DV4 CTD after update True Earth Netherlands

Recommended Posts

I installed TEN update and since then P3DV4 crashes to desktop. I uninstalled TEN without result. I then deactivated all addon scenery (incl all ORBX addons) and still CTD.

It crashes when starting at Netherlands for example EHGG Eelde, but also when in France airports.

I am now recovering a Acronis TrueImage backup of my system with a clean P3DV4 installation and will then only install TEN and try it out.

The CTD is rather annoying, esp when it takes many minutes every time I startup the sim (from SSD!).

Hello,

welcome to the forums.

Typically, P3D will not start if scenery library entries have been added

below the Default Terrain scenery library entry.

The reported fact that the simulator does not start with or without TENL

would indicate that it is not the cause of the problem.

Uninstalling or restoring backups is entirely unnecessary, any product can be completely

removed from a simulator by simply unticking its scenery library entries.

I would suggest that you start by deleting or renaming

C:\programdata\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\scenery.cfg and

running the simulator to see if it then works.

As you wish, however I would advise you to run

"Delete Generated Files", either before you uninstall or

after you have reinstalled but before you run the simulator.

If you do not, your error may be stored up and transferred

to the new installation.

You mean manually? Or is there an app to do so?
