Bluebbe Posted February 23, 2019 Share Posted February 23, 2019 Hi there, long time user, first post. Is there an airport overlay for Newquay airport in True Earth south for P3D? All other airports seem fine but EGHQ only has the photo textures, no night lights or runway texture overlay. I had deactivated EU England to help with loading times but found that if I re enable EU England in the scenery config screen the airport textures and runway lights appear OK. Could someone pls check as I thought TE GB included everything from EU England so I’m not sure if the airport overlay is missing or whether I have a corrupt install. Nick Cooper Posted February 23, 2019 Share Posted February 23, 2019 Hello, thanks for your report, I see the same. It looks like the airport is named EGDG Cornwall Airport Newquay. There are three files for it in TEGB but it also looks as if they are incomplete. Probably an oversight or perhaps wrong files included, I have asked and hope that there can be a fix soon. Glad to hear that it’s not a problem with my installation and that it may get fixed. In the mean time I can just keep FTX_EU_ENG_05_SCENERY activated so the airport shows correctly. WIth BA starting EGLL-EGHQ flights this month I took the A319 down and it was interesting landing on effectively a grass runway! Nick Cooper Posted July 28, 2020 Share Posted July 28, 2020 Hello, I reported this, as promised, on 23rd February, 2019. It was acknowledged but thereafter, it seems that it fell though the cracks. Apologies. However, there is a good freeware version, file name newquay_airport_v2_p3dv4.zip at the Avsim File Library. You will need to remove or disable all the Orbx files for EGDG.
