Elevation Issues On Most ORBX Airport (US West Coast)

Recommended Posts

Friends,

I am experiencing some elevation issues at KMRY, KHAF, KTVL and Bowerman, at least. These issues involve the airport either being on a plateau (KMRY), the underlying satellite imagery seeping through the taxiway or runway textures (KHAF and KMRY), and the airport being slightly more elevated than the underlying imagery, on mini-plateaus (Bowerman). I have the following addons installed:

FreeMeshX (deactivated it, still have the same issue)

FTX Global

FTX Global Vector (ran auto elevation tool, did not find KMRY, KHAF or KTVL in the manual adjustment tool)

FTX OpenLC NA (verified, uninstalled and reinstalled)

FTX Northern California (verified, uninstalled and reinstalled)

FTX Southern California (verified, uninstalled and reinstalled)

FTX PNW (verified, uninstalled and reinstalled)

I'm not sure what's causing this. I verified that my P3D/Scenery/World/Scenery layer is selected and above the meshes, but below the FTX Global layers. I've been trying to figure out what's causing this. I've disabled all AI BGLs that I have (I do not have any third party AI programs).

Any ideas my friends?

Thanks!

Hi

Please return and be sure this "P3D/Scenery/World/Scenery layer" is in it's default position/location.

Then please apply the below basics.

Ensure all of your 3rd party non Orbx addons are at the top of your scenery library and above your FTX entries.

Then in FTX Central 3 Insertion points, move "FTX entries should be inserted below"  just below your last 3rd party addon.

Then move the "openLC entries should be inserted below"  just below your FTX entries. and click "Save".

Then run the "Force Migration" option in FTXC3 settings.

Then, if you have Vector installed, there is a Vector control panel access button at the bottom of the FTXC3 settings page. When you open it you can select the amount of road coverage etc, be sure to uncheck the "Frozen Surface (in winter only)"option, and check the Australia Add-Ons under the “Settings” tab, then go to the Airport Elevation Correction (AEC tool) tab and run the auto configuration process and be sure to click on "Appy" when it is done scanning.
