Mac6737
I am having an increasing number of FSX crashes (the sim, not the planes!) as I add increasingly complex scenery and aircraft after a complete rebuild and reinstallation last summer. But the problems are not consistent, vary from day to day, seem to affect some scenery areas (e.g., England) but not others (e.g., Central Rockies), etc. Before I ask for serious help here, I thought I'd be scientific and try to isolate possible causative factors. Thought I might somehow disable some areas and see how it affects performance, FPS, etc. SO . . . I see FTX Central has an "Uninstall" option. If I uninstall a scenery area, can I later reinstall it, without buying it again? If I uninstall, where does it go? Back to Australia? Alternatively, can I disable a scenery area in FSX or using fsTweak? Thanks all, Mac6737 i7-8700 3.7 GHz GeForce GTX 1070 Ti; 8GB onboard AORUS Z370 Gaming 5 LGA 1151 ATX motherboard 16GB RAM 2 TB hard drive 27” MSI gaming monitor, set at 2550 for FSX PS -- Here's a screen shot of a typical malfunction. Pausing and waiting does not clear these up; I have to exit and reopen FSX, or even (rarely) reboot the PC.
Stewart Hobson
Better to just disable the scenery instead of uninstalling it. Untick the scenery you want to disable in the scenery library.
billoute
Products you'v bought are in your account definitively , using FTX central you can remove and reinstall them whenever you want. if you choose to delete one anyway, you'll have to redownload it, that's all.
