gibo
Today I started up my flightsim to do some screenshots of a Section8 F86 Sabre. The simulator seemed to take longer than usual to load so I checked my emails whilst waiting and I opened an email sent to me by the son of the pilot who flew USAF F86 Sabre "MY HUTCH" during the Korean War. The gentlemen thanked me for posting a video on Youtube that I had posted in the ORBX forums here http://orbxsystems.com/forums/index.php?topic=17430.0 on New Years Eve. "HUTCH" was the nickname for the gentleman's mother. I have done some more screenshots of "MY HUTCH" in as realsitic background as possible and dedicate the screenshots to "MY HUTCH" piloted by Lt Kenneth Parker of the 25th FS 51st FIW and to all the other brave Sabre pilots of the Korean War. I have replied to my email with a link to this post. Some of the screenshots are in 2d and most are in 3d red/blue(cyan) glasses required. Blitzer
I do like the Sabre, how good is it? This might be the first freeware add-on aircraft I may try once they complete their FSX native version.

Have a look at the ames of the people that put it together. The sound is very real. You can d/l the manual. Cheers, Norm
gibo
Today I received an email that the pilot of "MY HUTCH" has sadly passed away. Mr Parker's son requested that I do a short video featuring his father's aircraft doing a taxi, takeoff and landing of the aircraft for him. Here is the video The airport is Tamworth. The mountains are Apuan Alps from OZX as I thought that this scenery resembles the Korean terrain where Mr Parker flew the aircraft and I understand shot down at least 1 Mig. I have asked Butch if he can superimpose a photo of Mr Parker's face onto the sim pilots as the family are interested in setting up a simulator with their father's (grandfather's) aircraft to fly. Blitzer
Very sorry to hear the sad news. A very nice tribute. I did give this plane a try but ended up with black windows in the VC. I tried it using the 2d cockpit, but can't stand flying like that, it certainly looked and felt quite good to me so I really hope their FSX version comes along soon.
