Jumping the Gun

When I pushback my parking space is filled by another static aircraft immediately.  This screenshot is at the Orbx YBCG.

Long before there is room for the other plane to have taxied in normally. Very disconcerting.

It happens at payware and some default airports.  My in-game Traffic is set at 15% so it surely can't be that.  Has anyone experienced this phenomenon and does someone know how to correct it.

I select the initial parking space through the Scenario UI of v4.

When you select static aircraft to be displayed at YBCG, there are not many gates available for AI aircraft, so immediately a gate becomes available and a flight is soon to depart, an AI plane will spawn at that gate.

 

Disconcerting - yes. Understandable for the AI engine doing it's work - yes.

 

I have experienced it lots of times. The only way to mitigate it is allowing as many gates as possible for AI traffic to spawn at. To do this you minimise the number of static aircraft taking up available gates and / or dial the AI traffic activity way back.

 

To me, I am thankful that I have real world airline liveries at the gates rather than Landmark, Soar, Pacifica etc
