Jeffrey Kraus
After installing the libraries I have had this error dialog appear at least twice. I have both Flight Simulator X and Flight Simulator SE installed to the default locations on my C drive. I am running Windows 7.
Nick Cooper
Hello, Are you offered a start menu when you open FTX Central, allowing a choice between FSX and FSX Steam Edition? When you see that error message, what are you trying to do? Please don't use the Tweak FS utility, it is not designed or intended to deal with this problem. Instead, please try this topic. Jeffrey Kraus
At first FTX Central 3 showed both FSX and FSX SE. After applying TweakFS it showed only FSX SE. Then after changing the registry entry back to the original value using TweakFS and then setting both using FTX Registry Utility it shows both. But now when I run FTX Central 3 and select FSX it runs and when selecting FSX SE it crashes. Nick Cooper
Thanks. It looks as if you don't have FSX-SE installed in compatibility mode, so it is also using the FSX cfg files. This topic shows how to remove the compatibility mode, so you could use it to restore it instead.
Jeffrey Kraus
I set the key Co-Existence to 1, after starting Microsoft Flight Simulator X Steam Edition it created C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX-SE and I can now open FTX Central 3 without an error. Thanks!
