FTX Global and FTX Global Vector Issues

I have FTX Glogal and FTX Global Vector Installed on my computer. Before my problem I had only FTX Global with Ultimate Terrain X and everything was working fine.  I then installed FTX Global vector before I uninstalled Ultimate Terrain X.  When I did uninstall Ultimate Terrain X, I got a flash of a message that a config file was corrupted, but the message did not stay on long enough for me to see which one it was.  I went in to FSX Steam and only the default scenery was showing.  I have checked the FSX scenery.config file and from what I can see the FTX Global and FTX Global Vector files are there and active.  Are there any other files or registry Items I can check to fix this, or am I going to have to repair or uninstall FSX Steam to fix this issue. Any information, direction, or fix wold be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

welcome to the forums.

This is what the Vector user guide states:

Quote

ULTIMATE TERRAIN X (UTX)
FTX Global VECTOR directly competes with UTX, since we replace vector data contained UTX. You have a lot of configuration options available using the UTX configuration tool and we recommend you take time to explore what works best when FTXG and Vector are combined. More than likely most of the features of UTX will clash with Vector. If you are wanting an interim landclass solution until openLC arrives, then it is entirely possible to disable all UTX features except its landclass layers.

If you have allowed Steam to verify the installation, it will have removed virtually all of the FTX Global Base textures

and you will indeed be seeing default textures.

If this is the case, you can uninstall FTX Global Base and reinstall it.

I would recommend that you reinstall Vector by first setting its control panel back to default.

This means all AEC enabled and all options ticked.

Then delete its version text file in ORBX\User documents\Versions

and run its Install product.

This will replace any files that might have been affected when you removed UTX without the need to download the whole product again.

Hello Nick,

Sorry to take so long to get back to you, but I haven't been able to get to FSX as much as I would have like.   I have been able to install FTX Global Base and hopefully as I get the time to install FTX Global Vextor.  Thank you for your time and reply.
