active Is it possible to hide Vector bridges created under/over default span bridges?

Hey all.. Quick question. I noticed on a lot of suspension bridges,  main spans etc vector still wants to create its own "bridge" over (usually under) the same span in turn creating a roadway bridge under a suspension bridge etc.  I'm not exactly sure if any of the settings in vector would specifically deal with this without completely removing bridges in spots were there was no default bridge in the first place.
