StratManiac
Hi, I've installed all of my Orbx products and 4 Orbx airports. When I run the AEC it sit's there for what's been almost an hour now. It's not completed like it normally would. I only have one other airport installed as I am on a clean install of P3D V4.2 and all addons. Any idea why it's taking so long and not completing? Thanks in advance Andy
Nick Cooper
Hello, there have been several topics on this subject. So far, everyone with this problem has installed their simulator without a simulator root folder, direct to the root of the drive. Have you done this too? StratManiac
Ah that's a good point. It's not in a folder it's in the root of the drive. Can I change its install location after ? Thanks Andy
Nick Cooper
Hello, certainly you could put all the files into a folder and amend the registry entry. However, I am not sure how, if at all, this would affect the P3D licencing system.
StratManiac
Hi Nick, I would not know where to start. It's annoying as I've been installing my addons for 2 days. The only way to fix this now is to reinstall the entire thing again. It would be easier if Orbx Vector allowed it to be installed in the root?? Nick Cooper
Hello, if the Vector auto configuration is your only problem, then I would have thought that it is not worth the effort of reinstalling everything. You can still successfully disable AEC for airports individually as you find them and then make yourself a profile, which you can save for future reference. I don't use the auto configuration in any case and I am sure you can also manage the situation manually.
StratManiac
Ok thanks Nick. Can't be asked to reinstall it after the time spent past few days :0) Thanks Andy
StratManiac
I use Make Runways so I think that might help a little. Thanks Andy
