Darthranger
Had "Global" etc. installed and recently installed "Vector" in P3D V4.1 with FTX Central3. Airport PHTO has trees all over the runway and taxiways. Turned Vector 'Off' in P3D Scenery Library and the trees are gone. Looking for a 'Fix' Rick
Doug Sawatzky
Hi Rick I have Vector fully activated and no trees on the runways at PHTO. In the Vector Control panel under Water Features, uncheck the "Frozen Surface" option. Then, check your insertion points in FTXC3 as per the below topic. Darthranger
Thanks for your reply Doug ! Object Library up to date "Frozen Surface" un-checked Insertion points are set as indicated, but I must be missing something ? Here's how my scenery Library is set up in P3D v4.1. Doug Sawatzky
Rick You could run the Vector AEC (Airport Elevations Correction) tool just for laughs, but I don't think it will have any affect....but it's always a good thing to do from time to time. Your scenery library order looks good, what 3rd party addons do you have? feel free to attach a copy of your secenry.cfg located at C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\P3Dv4. You could also do a search in your P3Dv4 folder for "PHTO" and post the results to maybe see an unwanted culprit. Also, posting a screenshot may yield some clues for someone. Darthranger
Only add-ons besides ORBX are RTMM scenery + library files. Rick scenery.cfg.txt
Doug Sawatzky
Thanks, I converted it into a more user friendly format and reattached it and yes there is something seriously wrong with it.....most of the default scenery is gone and there are five Vector entries missing, and there is no 3rd party scenery showing in that scenery.cfg. I would go to C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\P3Dv4 and delete that entire P3Dv4 folder, then restart P3Dv4 and it will build a new default folder, then shut down your sim, then open FTXC3 and let it activate for a few moments, then close it and restart your sim and all should be good as far as Orbx products are concerned, but you will still need to reinstall your 3rd party stuff (which isn't showing anyways)
Darthranger
Apparently that wasn't the 'Problem'. Still have trees on runway and taxiways at PHTO. Also an issue at PHKO which is an "FTX Global Freeware Airport.
Doug Sawatzky
Ok, could you please attach a copy of the new scenery.cfg?

Doug Sawatzky
Rick I don't know what that is, but it is not a scenery.cfg file. Please go to C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\P3Dv4 folder and attach the scenery.cfg from there.
Darthranger
Open Office messed that one up LOL Rick new scenery.cfg.txt
Doug Sawatzky
Thanks, that looks better haha I would move the three entries in the below image to the top above the FTX stuff, but I can't see anything yet to cause your issue, but if you could please post a screenshot that would be cool. And, maybe try a reinstall of the airports pack.

Darthranger
FYI... uninstalling the Global Airports Pack did not fix the problem.
Doug Sawatzky
Try, with all the 3rd party stuff unchecked in the scenery library.
Darthranger
No change with 3rd party stuff "Un-Checked".
Darthranger
According to several other Threads in the forum; this seems to be a pervasive "Vector" issue in certain scenery areas. In the absence of any specific .bgl file replacements; perhaps a re-install of Vector is an option ?
Doug Sawatzky
Sounds good, certainly wouldn’t hurt.
Darthranger
Good news. 'Mystery' solved ! (Apparently ) Apparently something went wrong during the first install. Because, after un-installing and re-installing Vector... it seems to be working properly now. At least all the trees at PHTO are gone now. LOL Thanks again for your help Doug. Have a GREAT day !
