I was flying from the Gold Coast up to Brisbane at low level (about 800ft). As you go along the coast of South Stradbroke Island up to the entrance to Swan Bay the surf runs vertically. It the reverts to normal action as you hit North Stradbroke Island. A total of about 15km. No biggie but I thought I would mention it. Aussie.
