Pete_C
I hope this is the correct forum to post in, and my apologies if it isn't, but I'm hoping someone will be able to point me in the right direction for a problem I have with Pacific Fjords and FSX I've been trying to complete a flight from Smithers (CYYD) to Peterersburg (PAPG) both within the area covered by Pacific Fjords, but everytime I try, the sim crashes to desktop about 30 minutes into the flight The last time I tried, this was at a point approx 8 nm NW of Woodcock (CBQ8). I then disabled ALL of my Orbx products, and completed the flight without incident, so it would seem to be a problem with the Orbx scenaries. I am using FSX SE ad have the following Orbx sceneries installed in the following order: Orbxlibs England Pacific Fjords Pacific Northwest I also have Tongas Fjords and Ultimate Terrain Alaska, but both of these are below the Orbx libraries Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks
Nick Cooper
Hello, in what way does FSX crash please? Does it produce an error message and if so, what is it?
Pete_C
Nick, The sim freezes for a few seconds and then a white message box appears after which FSX closes I can't remember the exact wording of the message, but it's along the lines that that the sim has encountered a problem and will close. It also says it look for an answer to the problem (it never finds one).
Nick Cooper
Thanks. If you take a look at the Windows Event Viewer, it should tell you which module is causing the crash. The event logs are saved, just look for fsx.exe. If you can paste the output here, it may well help to identify the problem. Thanks.

Pete_C
Hi Nick, I'm not very tech savvy and had never heard of the Windows Event Viewer before you mentioned. I managed to find it though, but when it opened I had no idea where to start Anyway after using a 'search' input I came up with the following. I have no idea if these are what you asked for, but as I had two crashes yesterday, and there are two logs, I thought that they might be. I hope you can make sense of them..............and thanks. - System - Provider [ Name] Windows Error Reporting - EventID 1001 [ Qualifiers] 0 Level 4 Task 0 Keywords 0x80000000000000 - TimeCreated [ SystemTime] 2018-02-22T13:04:27.011701300Z EventRecordID 2364 Channel Application Computer DESKTOP-00DIC06 Security - EventData 107491472772 1 APPCRASH Not available 0 fsx.exe 10.0.62615.0 559f9a9a ai_player.dll 10.0.62615.0 559f9ab4 c0000005 00036099 \\?\C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\Temp\WER425F.tmp.mdmp \\?\C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\Temp\WER600A.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml \\?\C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\Temp\WER6018.tmp.csv \\?\C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\Temp\WER6048.tmp.txt C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchive\AppCrash_fsx.exe_d462bf89802326fe6eebc46e5e10caf25df2_a37f3a76_4d116d28 0 cb72f58a-508f-4c2e-ac50-e6330ecb85f9 268435456 5e91d633fe3d330185158f5120588531 - System - Provider [ Name] Application Error - EventID 1000 [ Qualifiers] 0 Level 2 Task 100 Keywords 0x80000000000000 - TimeCreated [ SystemTime] 2018-02-22T13:04:15.365220500Z EventRecordID 2363 Channel Application Computer DESKTOP-00DIC06 Security - EventData fsx.exe 10.0.62615.0 559f9a9a ai_player.dll 10.0.62615.0 559f9ab4 c0000005 00036099 1bf4 01d3abd5d355f07a C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\fsx.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\ai_player.dll cb72f58a-508f-4c2e-ac50-e6330ecb85f9
Nick Cooper
Hello, it looks like the problem is connected with AI aircraft. Here is an Avsim topic that might help. https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/469302-ai_playerdll-error/
