EWayne
I recently did a full reinstall of FSX SE to clear a problem. After re-installation I went to Central and re-downloaded my ORBX files. On startup of FSX SE I receive multiple messages about the ORBX files missing. The scenery files of FSX show the ORBX files in question all present and checked. How do I get rid of the messages or do I not actually have the files?
Nick Cooper
Hello. Even if you do a full reinstall of FSX-SE, it leaves the existing scenery.cfg file in place. Unless you put everything back exactly as it was, the scenery.cfg file may not be now pointing to the files. Is FSX-SE the only FSX version installed, as you mention FSX? EWayne
Hello Nick: Sorry I was out of town a while. Thank you for your response. Yes FSX-SE is the only FSX version installed. Wayne
Nick Cooper
Perhaps you can run FTX Central, it should only write into the scenery library what is actually installed.
EWayne
Hello Nick I did run FTX Central but the files didn't work. I then noticed your useful tip in the FSX SE forum about the regedit on stand alone FSX SE. I followed that and was able to get the files to where they belong. Now all is working OK. Thank you.
