Cutmetal
I just bought tonight NA Pacific Northwest, and some of the associated free packages that go along with it. I used the orbx installer. I see the folder ORBX folder in my C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X directory. There is nothing in my Addon Scenery directory. When I start the game there is no change from the original Microsoft Flight X scenery. I have tried to add area and pick the ORBX folder, but it won't recognize any of the scenery folders in Orbx... Is there something else I need, IE a base program that I did not realize or install? Or am I just not configured correctly? Directory as installed..... Doug Sawatzky
Hi Rick, welcome to the forums First, Please, as circled in the below image. Ensure the Orbx Libs are installed and up to date. (is there a blue notification above the settings button in FTXC3?) Cheers Doug
Cutmetal
No... that program would not load. It kept giving me an error msg. Thought it was only for browsing the library online. It is needed for in game?
Doug Sawatzky
Yes it is mandatory, your scenery will not work without it. Please try the below steps to get it installed. Go to FTX Central 3 Settings. Uncheck the “Use multiple threads for downloads”. Click on the “Clear Temp” Button. Click on “Save”. Restart FTXC3, and try again. If you still are getting error msg, please post the error log as per the below link. Cheers Doug

Doug Sawatzky
Ok, please have a look in your FSX\ORBX\User Documents\Versions folder and delete the "FTX_AA_ORBXLIBS".txt if it is there, then reattempt to reinstall the Libraries from FTXC3 again. Doug Sawatzky
Then if it still does not work, seeing as that your error log is indicating a corrupt downloaded file you will need to do it the manual method below. Please use a download manager for the below manual methods. Browser extension download managers do not work for this. Below is a good free DL manager. https://www.freedownloadmanager.org/ Download the Orbx Libraries from the link below. https://orbxdirect.com/support Then open FTXC3 and select it, and click on the orange "installation options" and select "Install from my manually downloaded .zip". as per the below links. http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/127395-manual-download-of-products/ http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/125435-how-to-install-from-an-orbx-direct-downloaded-zip-file/ Cheers Doug
