Nyxx
Someone has posted that running the FTXLights_P3D_Day.exe gave a good performance boost. Now please forgive my memory as it must be a few years ago. I remember you guys telling people to run the FTXLights_P3D_Day.exe when flying in daylight hours as the lights are drawn but not shown in daytime. The exe turns lights off and you have to run the night exe for night flying. So do we still need to run this exe. to help the sim out in daytime flight, I thought this was a thing of the past. What's the HU on this guys in P3d v4? Cheers Dave.
Bert Pieke
The user documentation for FTX Global states that this is automatic... But the two exe files exist in the Scripts folder and do execute when clicked. Not sure they have any effect, and how to reset it to the default state.. Guidance would indeed be welcome
Nick Cooper
Hello, a few years ago, that would have been true. The lighting system is now completely different and the Day/Night software is more or less redundant.

Hi, So, what's the need to perform FTX products with the better rendition and the better performances please? To run a last time the day EXE or the night EXE or "don't touch anything/don't care because it doesn't matter"? Thank you in advance for the advice. Nick Cooper
Simply put, the lighting system that was affected by the Day\Night setting is no longer used. Therefore, the tool that allowed those settings is redundant, there is nothing there to set.
