FTX scenery anomalies or not?

G'day,

I'm wondering if someone could have a look at the following pics and possibly give me an idea of what I'm doing wrong. These are FTX Germany and Scotland, and looks like there are different scenery elements being mashed together, European style housing with NA style, buildings in farmers fields and very abrupt square outlines of scenery patches.

I have a clean install of P3D v4.1 with the updated FTX central.

I also had this issue with P3D 4.0, so I'm really not sure what could be the cause.

I have updated libraries and no third party add-ons. Only Orbx installed.

Do I need to have Vector for the scenery to display properly?

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

James

Hi James

Please apply the below procedure,

Then in FTX Central 3 Insertion points, move "FTX entries should be inserted below"  to the top, or just below your last 3rd party addon if and when you install them.

Then move the "openLC entries should be inserted below"  just below your FTX entries. and click "Save".

Then run the "Force Migration" option.

Finally Click on the "Clear Temp" button.

If that doesn't work, follow the procedure in the below topic,

Cheers

  • 1 month later...

Can't seem to get rid of the funny textures... tried what was suggested.

Maybe some kind sole could slew to one of the lat/long in the above pictures and check to see if they get the same textures as I do...

Just did a fresh install of everything,  maybe this is how it's supposed to look?

Thanks to whoever can help out, just so I'm not chasing my tail.

Hi James

I have just done a visual at a couple of your above locations, and I am seeing the same thing, so it turns out there is nothing wrong with your installation. I have also compared them to Google Earth images and they are fairly accurate. :)

Cheers
