martinc
Hi folks, Can someone recommend a good PC builder in the southern or eastern suburbs of Melbourne?. My regular guys seem to have disappeared. Cheers Martin C
Ian Routley
scorptec.com.au have made a few computers for me. They are reliable, reasonably knowledgable, and won't disappear with your money! Good range of peripherals, and you can basically build your own. Not sure about O/Clocking and the like.
martinc
Thanks Ian, They look pretty good and some of their off the shelf systems are VERY nice... Cheers MC
Adrian Lehmann (FSS)
Regardless of whether you're on the east coast or not, you can't go past Airborn Computers. I had them custom build a new rig for our display at the Oz Flight Sim Expo and it's an absolute corker. They go well beyond putting the pieces together, they fine tune their systems specifically to work well with FSX. Here's the website, take a look at the Custom page http://airborncomputers.com
martinc
Wow, They look like good value, and they build specifically for FSX, how cool is that..?
migar
I ought a new i7 920 system from IBuy Power computers, a division of PC Maniacs, and have been very satisfied with it. I have previously had a system from MSY which was fine and also one from Computer Parts Land (CPL) which had a fault requiring about 3 returns for no result, finally fixed it myself, and it has been OK since. http://ibuypower.com.au/build.php?products_id=7753 http://www.pcmaniacs.com.au/ Cheers Michael. John Venema
Orbx's Uber2 was built and overclocked by CNet Technologies, who have locations across Melbourne - http://www.cnettech.com.au/ Specs of the PC are below my sig. The initial build did take quite some weeks, but once we had selected the right components (i.e. EX58-EXTREME mobo) everything was perfect after that. It has been rock-stable at 4.0Ghz with low temps on air cooling with the V8 fan for about 3-4 months now.
