2low terrain
I am unable to get past 260mb. After repeated attempts the download restarts at 201mb the last extract point. I'd appreciate if you could check this and let me know if I am doing something wrong. Thanks, Don Nelson
Doug Sawatzky
Hi Don, Please try this, Go to FTX Central 3 Settings. Uncheck the “Use multiple threads for downloads”. Click on the “Clear Temp” Button. Click on “Save”. Restart FTXC3, and try again. Cheers Doug
2low terrain
Hi Doug, I completed a manual download using the free download manager that was suggested in another thread here and installed it using the manual option in FTX. Problem solved, thanks for responding. I'll continue to read through the forum and see what else I can learn, should of done that first. I'm still not clear why I kept getting "unable to read data from the transport connection. The connection was closed". It did this also with the download manager but it recovered in a second or two and resumed. I use Norton Security, rules for both Orbx and FTX were set at "allowed" from initial install of the product. I disabled Norton, it had no effect. The download intermittently stopped using FTX. Maybe a weak wireless signal on my end, who knows. Don
