active Mesh - Equal Resolution - Priority?

Question.

 

I know that the highest level resolution mesh will always show in the sim regardless of priority but what happens when addon mesh is the same resolution as the FTX region mesh?

 

Does the scenery library priority then take over?

 

For instance.

 

Toposim 10m Great Britain mesh covers UK and Northern Ireland. I want to use this as NIR doesn't come with mesh. The FTX ENG SCO and WLS regions come with 10m mesh included. if I install the Toposim below the regions in the library, will this ensure that the FTX region mesh takes priority over the Toposim? Its a bit confusing when resolution is identical.

My recommendation would be not to add mesh to Ireland.

 

The scenery was designed around the default mesh and you are likely to

introduce anomalies that are not there in the default product.

 

You also run the risk of introducing anomalies into your two other products,

which are designed around the mesh that comes with them.

So as the Toposim is split into areas, I will simply remove any that overlap existing regions.
