g2d.dll faulting module in orbx areas

hello Orbx

Have installed P3Dv4 and all my Orbx products that are available with no problems. On setting up a flight and choosing the Pacific Fjords area ( Bella Coola) the sim stops loading at about the 26% mark with the normal Windows message and resets to desktop. If I disable Orbx!OpenLc_NAmerica1 & 2 in the scenery library this doesn't happen. Same thing happens with New Zealand North and South products but I have to disable both of these to be able to fly in that area. On further investigation I found out that error is 'faulting module g2d.dll' in all cases.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

hi Richard,

Thx for your reply. There is no FTX Central error log so as you say it must be a driver. I have updated my graphics driver and any other that needed updates and now both New Zealand islands are now working  as they should be. But the NA regions particulary FTX PNW and PFJ still crash as per report below. Disabling ORBX!OPENLC_NAMERICA1 and 2 cures the problem. I am confused as to why this g2d.dll error is not affecting all the other regions especially if its a driver causing it ?? and not just a few. As the NA regions are working ok with the 'full fat' regions enabled I will leave it at that and maybe a future update will cure it.

Cheers

Hi,

Looking further into the Fault Module Name: g2d.dll  Although it is attributed largely to Driver Updates, I missed this F:\Prepar3Dv4\Prepar3D.exe You will need to either contact LM or Reinstall P3D. I would contact LM first.
