active Trees On Runway at YBCS: Cairns

Good day all,

 

So, ORBX has a sale and I bought a few items;
1) AU Australia
2) YBCS Cairns Airport
3) YBRM Broome Airport

I have installed all those sceneries and everything looks fantastic except...there are trees on the runway in YBCS.

YBRM loaded normally with no issues.

Please note, all ORBX products are up to date and I do not use Vector.
Kindly advise how I may resolve this?

Once you've done that, could you also post a screenshot or two of what you see on the runway? That would be very helpful to help diagnose the issue.

Hi Jarrad,

 

Thank you for welcoming me and my apologies for omitting the purchase details.

I had purchased AU Australia/YBCS: Cairns/YBRM: Broome directly from ORBX website under the following Transaction ID;

• 590a915b82ef3

Please see a couple of screenshots highlighting the issue in YBCS.

The trees are all over the runway and taxiway and at the terminal as well.

 

Since the issue, I have also tried to rearrange the priority list in the scenery library and interchanged the positions of the Holgermesh, Airports, and AU Australia.

No success too.

Thanks very much for that info A couple of more questions:

 

1. Could you take a similar top-down shot at Broome for me? I need to see if you are having some related issues there. 

2. Could you please go to Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\ORBX\FTX_AU\FTXAA_YBCS\scenery and tell me how many files are in this folder?

Ok here we go.

I have attached the screenshot at YBRM as requested.

 

I have a total of 65 items (1.03GB) in this folder:  Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\ORBX\FTX_AU\FTXAA_YBCS\scenery

 

Just for giggles, I downloaded all the freeware airports available for Australia (YPLC, YMUI, YMLT, YLIL, YCUN, YBLN) and happy to say all are working correctly.

I guess someone managed to chop away all the trees on the runway before I loaded the scenery.

 

Jokes aside, let me know if you need more information to help me troubleshoot this. It seems to only affect this airport.

YBCS looks to be my favourite scenery in Australia but not quite yet.

Hi Jarrad,

 

Great news! YBCS scenery is working correctly without the trees now.

After my last post, it made sense to try and reinstall the scenery as all other airports were working without issues.

 

So, reinstall I did and the trees on the runway were gone.

However, I received no less than 8 interrupted messages like the one in the attached during the course of the re-download.

The rest of the airport did not have any messages of the like.

 

In any case, I am a satisfied customer and it's a beautiful scenery from the ORBX team as usual.

 

Hawker Pacific facility is modeled in this scenery - very cool.

I am an employee of HP though the one in Singapore!

 

Speaking of which, don't you think it's time the ORBX team made a Singapore  scenery.

One can always wish.
