paj
I usually fly VFR in the daytime and just tried flying around YMML at night... ... and noticed I couldn't see the runways due to the absence of lights. Below is a photoshopped version of the above screenshot with enhanced brightness just to confirm that YMML really is there: I'm not sure when the lights went missing. I recently purchased REX, but playing about with various REX and ORBX lighting options hasn't helped. Nor has switching between FSGenesis and Holger's mesh. Reverting YMML to RTM returned the lights! But a delete-then-reinstall of YMML SP1 didn't resolve the problem: I'm still landing in the dark. (Will this reinstall of YMMLSP1 cause problems with my earlier install of AU SP3?). YMAV, YSCH, YMLT etc seem fine. Any advice appreciated! Cheers PAJ.
Martin Henare
Its a known problem and related to FSX and resource management. For some unknown reason FSX is dumping the light effects. At this stage there is no fix other than to try a refresh of the scenery. It is likely is a memory issue or similar
paj
That's sad news. I guess that just leaves me to dust off my PMDG747 and go practice my Cat IIIc landings at YMML on RWY 16 at night. ;-)
