Greg Busby
Is it normal for the EGT temps to be almost 1900 degrees instead of 1600 or 1625 the CHT's are also high 415 which should be around 385. Though I have not flown Turbo charged aircraft long enough to know if this is normal or not
tuisong
Hi Greg, welcome to the forums. I'll be interested in the answer to your questions too.
sunjunkiesi
Page 18 of the user operating manual states maximum continuous turbine intake should be 1810 and CHT should be 380-460. If I understand correctly, EGT and Turbine Intake Temperature are slightly different things, so if you set the EC100 to monitor turbine intake, and use 1810 as your leaning guide (rather than rpm or egt), you should be right. This is what the manual seems to suggest, but I am very keen to hear of more experienced or intelligent answers!
Greg Busby
They way I've been doing it is I lean to a % fuel flow for example 75% is 20.6gph so I lean to 20.6gph I have seen temps as high as 2150 EGT temps while the TIT temps are 1675 and below at 11,500 going east bound at 75% power I'm doing 240 knots and I can't get enough of this aircraft ever since I bought it I've put all other aircraft in the hanger and just been flying the lanciar 4P but I did have a interesting thing happen to me before
