triton
it appears that fraps steals a few frames per second when it's capturing the footage, still the fps on this never went below 18. I might have another go, as post conversion and upload there appears to be a sort of microstutter that wasn't present when flying anyway it's just a quick look at it. gibo
Nice video. Yes FRAPS takes away a lot of FPS. I use Windows Media Encoder (as sugeested by John V) to convert file to WMV and this process seems to smooth out for me. cheers, Norm
John Venema
Nice vid! TIPS: firstly you need to turn sync off in FRAPS, and set it to 25FPS capture. If you cannot maintain a solid 25FPS your audio will not sync, so don't capture audio if that's the case. Set your desktop resolution to 1280x720 Run FSX in Windowed Mode (but window maximized of course) with frames Unlimited, and capture that way. Convert the resulting FRAPS 1280x720 .avi to an .wmv using Windows Media Encoder 9. Then upload to YouTube - Vimeo's codecs have changed and they suck now.
