level135
Hello, I just reinstall all my FTX add ons, with all the patchs and when I fly outside of Australia after having disabling the specific textures using FTX Central, I still have strange roofs over France or germany for instance. Could you tell me what to do to avoid this ? Thank's Luc
Wolter van der Spoel
Hi Luc, Did you install the SP3.001 and SP3.001b patches after you re-installed all your FTX addons ?

Wolter van der Spoel
Hi Luc, that is strange, however if you did re-install everything without deleting manually the old fsX folder it is well possible that that is the thing that screwed things up you will need to start from square one I am affraid, as there is no direct cure for this isue when having mixed the files. Un-install fsX via the software control panel delete the fsX folder with all that's in it delete the fsX folder that is located => for XP = C:\Documents and Settings\......\Application Data\Microsoft\FSX for Vista, W7 = C:\Users\........\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX run a regcleaner like CCleaner, defrag re-install from square one
level135
Hi, It was already a new install of Windows Vista 64 and FSX on formated HDD. I don't want to do that again as it take a lot of time. I'll try another way to resolve this problem. and will give you some news.... Thank's for your answer regards Luc
Wolter van der Spoel
May be an alternative option is at hand, but I do need to do some research and test it, so don't burn it yet.
Wolter van der Spoel
OK, I think this might work, make sure you have switched to FTX OFF and read the instructions FTX_GABLED_ROOF_FIX_V1.1.ZIP
level135
Hello, I just tried to change the roof textures as you explained me, but it doesn't work. After that each time I wanted to fly, after a little while FSX crashed to dekstop. So I had to copy back the roof texture I had saved. I was flying over the Aerosoft scenery of north west germany called "Island Hopping" and it seems that it's a total miss now, as each time I start a fly FSX crash after a few minutes. a gonna fly over australia to see if it's the same.
