active scenery not showing

Good morning,

 

After being away from simming during the last  12 months, I am slowly coming back to the fold...

I installed PD v3 (last version) and some scenery of ORBX. Those being ORBX Global and Lc_North America, Trees and PNW.

So far that went well and the simm is running stable. No complaints there.

So I thought to start installing a few airports.

The first one I wanted to install was Friday Harbour.

I have all my scenery visible in my account but to relieve the servers a bit, I decided to use the FSS installer instead of redownloading the files.

Installation itself went without problems but...

The airport is not showing in the sim,

The airport is not showing in the scenery library

And

When I try to manually install the airport in the sim, I see only a very short piece of runway and a lot of trees on top of the runway....

 

Can anybody show me what I did wrong or why this is happening?

FSS installers no longer work with the new system. You need to download through FTX Central 3 which automatically installs the software for you.

FSS installers are indeed working for the time being.

You do not need to install the product through FTX Central v3, although you can do so.

You will need FTX Central v3 and the latest libraries as well.

Well,

it seems that installing through the old fss installers don't work properly.

When I use them, the scenery doesn't show up in the simulator. When I use the new Central v3, everything works like a charm.

sigh.... I have about 45 Gb to go...
