The last time I entered some issues while relocating FSX and everything else related on a new drive. I mentioned various errors which were all corrected. So FSX loads fine with no error messages however I am having scenery issues. Airports are located in residential areas with houses and trees on the taxiways and previously I had no issues with these airports. The bi-gee is the Great lakes do not exist they are just a mosaic of patterns making no sense and ever shifting. With the shoreline and land everything is fine.

 

My FSX Scenery library is ordered roughly like this

 

FTX Holgermesh as #1 then Orbx Libs

FTX AU

AAGlobal Airports

then Custom airports like PAJN and KJAC then Orbx regions then Open LC then orbx world scenery then FS Global 2010 then Vector then base then vector AEC and then default.

Hello,

 

I have moved your topic out of the Vector support forum.

You might try running the Force Migration function in FTX Central.

You might try ensuring that the scenery order is correct, especially

your OLC entries.

You might try refreshing your terrain.cfg file.

Looking at the corrupt cfg file posts here those are the exact issues I am having with the general scenery in the Great lakes region.

 

I tried the refresh and it didn't work. I actually tried it twice, once with the backup cfg and again with the one I downloaded from this site. The Library appears to be good.

 

I reran the force migration tool and I noticed even though it ran by so fast there were entries where it said "couldn't find file" and it appears this issue centers around the Great lakes region with the lakes themselves the bad culprit even though there are issues with various airports in other areas.

 

When I re installed vector I didn't use the DVDs I have and instead downloaded it all  and  did the upgrades to the current version.

I'll assume this is part of my problem. The force migration also reflects numerous files not found.

I'm out of solutions to this issue. I found an Orbx index file on the system drive which I copied to the FSX Drive but it did no good. Part of the problem besides all the trees on taxiways and ground bleeding onto some runways and difficulty with small patches of scenery here and there is the inconsistency with some of these issues. Some airports are fine and some long stretches of scenery are fine (except for the Great lakes Area). All the custom airports are fine also. I reinstalled just about everything Orbx wise more than once and run the migration tool and refreshed the scenery config more than once. it seems to be about files that are here but Orbx can't find. FSX itself runs flawlessly.
