Emi
Greetings, since some weeks my ORBX installers do not recognise the installation of FSX:Steam on my system anylonger. FTX Central 2 does also not ask me for which simulator it should load, but just opens in P3Dv3 mode right away. It seems like to whatever routine you use to check the installed simulators my FSX:Steam installation is invisible. I should have an ordinary FSX:Steam installation, default paths, no issues with the sim itself, nothing. It is installed in Compability Mode, so it is using the default Microsoft paths and not Dovetails own -SE paths. Other companies installers (FlightBeam, PMDG, Aerosoft) do not have such issues at the moment, so I assume there is no issue with my FSX:Steam installation itself. Any help is apprechiated! All the bests, Emanuel
Nick Cooper
Hello, Compatibility mode is when FSX-SE does not use the default Microsoft paths. Do you have appdata and programdata FSX or FSX-SE folders?
Emi
Hi Nick, it is installed with the default MS paths, so just FSX folders (no -SE)..
Nick Cooper
Try the FSX Registry Utility from this page and use it to set the registry entries for where you have FSX-SE installed. Then you will see an FSX choice in the drop down menu, use that to install your products.
Gollum
Hi I had a problem when I had the option to select which FSX that I wanted and I chose FSXSE, which is what I use , however you should choose just FSX . Regards
Emi
Hi Nick, tried it, but it does not work. Still the same issue. The tool sees the path fine, it also did before I reassigned the location of the FSX folder, however your installers do not recon my FSX installation. Is there anything special your installers are looking for?
