Nabil49 Posted October 4, 2016 Share Posted October 4, 2016 Hi, I just completed installing the EU_England Scenery. on starting FSX I get the following message and then loads the default scenery; "SCENERY.CFG file error. Invalid Remote scenery path in scenery Area.177. Press OK to continue" If anyone knows the solution to this I would love to hear from them. Nick Cooper Posted October 4, 2016 Share Posted October 4, 2016 Hello and welcome to the forums. It would be useful to know what is recorded in area 177 in your scenery.cfg file. You can ignore the area and local numbers, they vary depending on what is already in the scenery library. [Area.201] Title=FTX_EU_ENG_08_CUSTOM Local=ORBX\FTX_EU\FTX_EU_ENG_08_CUSTOM Layer=201 Active=TRUE Required=FALSE [Area.202] Title=FTX_EU_ENG_07_MESH Local=ORBX\FTX_EU\FTX_EU_ENG_07_MESH Layer=202 Active=TRUE Required=FALSE [Area.203] Title=FTX_EU_ENG_06_CVX Local=ORBX\FTX_EU\FTX_EU_ENG_06_CVX Layer=203 Active=TRUE Required=FALSE [Area.204] Title=FTX_EU_ENG_05_SCENERY Local=ORBX\FTX_EU\FTX_EU_ENG_05_SCENERY Layer=204 Active=TRUE Required=FALSE Try going to ORBX\scripts and run FTXConfigurator.exe as an administrator. You will see nothing but it should write the correct scenery library entries to the scenery.cfg file. Did you install the latest ORBX libraries? I will try and reinstall the Scenery as downloaded and also look into the ORBX libraries (will be later today as I am at work now) I will be back if it doesn't work.
