Number Six
Hello For various reasons I am looking at installing and using P3D as my primary sim from now on, but it will be installed at the same time and on the same drive as FSX:SE. I already have FTX global installed into FSX - how would I go about installing FTX into P3D aswell? Would I simply run the original installer again and point it to the main P3D directory? Or is there some way to get FTX central to copy the textures to P3D? Thanks
Number Six
*bump* in case this was missed. Thanks
TheGreenToad
You can simply run the installer again and point it to Prepar3D. You might have to redownload an updated version of your installers if you have older ones that are not yet ready for the P3D version you want to install into. Number Six
Hi That's great, thanks for your response. If I also wanted to remove my FSX:SE installation, would simply uninstalling Orbx using the control panel menu (before starting the P3D install) remove all associated files inc registry entries, or is there more to it? Nick Cooper
You can use the Steam uninstaller (Delete local content) to remove FSX Steam Edition and then delete the FSX folder. This will remove the registry entries for FSX Steam Edition and the Orbx files. You may also wish to delete the FSX folders in appdata and programdata. Number Six
Sorry, I thought I'd replied to this - seems it didn't go through. Does Orbx make any registry entries or create files outside of the folders mentioned in your post?
Nick Cooper
The product registry entries are only proof of purchase. FTX Central is in Appdata\Local\Orbx.
