wethersfield
I also get a message asking me to insert disc 2. There are no disc's involved with this, so how do I correct this issue?
Nick Cooper
Hello, Before you can successfully run the installer, the downloaded .zip file must be unzipped into a new folder outside the download. If this is not done, the installer cannot read the compressed (zipped) files and generates the request for the disc that you are seeing.
wethersfield
Hi, Yes I did that before I attempted the reinstall and still got the messages.
wethersfield
Everything I have done according to the book and still FTX will not reinstall FTX Global without the "insert disc 2" popping up preventing the reinstall. I moved the application to a separate folder, ran as Administrator and still the problem persists. I have queried the forum and all the answers are what I am doing, even re-download the file from FlightSim Stores again.

wethersfield
I just checked my FTX Global application for compatibility and it came up as Windows 7 mode, my new PC is Windows 10, could that be part of the problem?
Nick Cooper
Most unlikely, how did you check?
wethersfield
I ran the Windows compatibility test against the FTX Global application.
Nick Cooper
If you have not already done so, turn off the User Account Control and disable any live anti virus checking that you may have installed. I suggest you avail yourself of a trial copy of WinRar. Then use it to extract the downloaded file. In this illustration, it is to extract the files from OrbxFTXGlobal140.zip to D:\Unzipped, a folder I have created for this purpose. Once done, the files will look like this and you can then right click on OrbxFTXGlobal 140.exe and run it as an administrator.

novafour
Thank you for your reply. I have done as suggested, however the same has happened. I have a feeling it may have something to do with the non working FTX Central icon.Message reads "The FTX Central v2 executable could not be found" Please report this issue on the Orbx forums" Can you resolve this problem for me? Many thanks Michael
