leader01 Posted March 22, 2016 Share Posted March 22, 2016 I have finally got the FSX version of this add on to work so thanks to John and the team. I have spent some time flying in the area and have tried several approaches from the north between 1200' and 2000' asl and the PAPI lights do not show up until one is almost at the airport. Ed Correia Posted March 22, 2016 Share Posted March 22, 2016 The lights used at 77S is essentially a hack of FS9 coding so that the light effects appear nicely in the PAPI boxes. Unfortunately the distance at which the lights are visible cannot be controlled and hence is a limitation of the coding. We used this technique at a number of airports a few years back but since P3D now no longer supports these FS9 hacks we now just use the lighting that positioned with ADE. Most times the positioning of the lighting cannot be placed with the PAPI box models so this a limitation in using that method. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
