aceridgey
Hi guys, I read a forum post here about the preference of textures for ORBX LC over England. I have both products but haven't installed England for about a year since Prepar3d 2.x and 3.x I seemed to get better FPS with ORBX LC and I thought the textures looked better. Is this still the case? Are people feeling like ORBX LC is better for England coverage compared to Orbx England? (BTW I rarely do VFR flying, so small GA airports are not a bonus for me)

Nick Cooper
You seem to have made your choice, if you are still happy with it, perhaps you should carry on. Neither product has changed in the last year.

Or, are they similar textures and UK have more landmarks etc.
Nick Cooper
As an FTX region, EU England has all the elements that FTX can add, to include the best available landclass. Open LC adds that landclass to areas where there are no FTX regions, so I would expect the landclass in England to be similar whether EU England or Open LC is active. Open LC cannot provide the revised Vector data, mesh, the airports, landmarks and POIs that are included in all regions, so I would expect that England will look much better with the region active than with just OpenLC.
