smokeyupahead
After uninstalling FSX to keep Steam as my only sim, and after changing the setting in the registry to allow FTX Central to treat Steam with the same structure as FSX, as suggested here, I still get crashes with FTX Central and it cannot find the scenery cfg file. Any help would be highly appreciated at this point... https://www.dropbox.com/s/wc07alnjr874wxi/Screenshot%202016-02-11%2023.15.55.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/ump36mbfyhpwq1s/Screenshot%202016-02-11%2023.51.31.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/lw3atm0ro1imjrm/Screenshot%202016-02-11%2023.51.51.png?dl=

Nick Cooper
Sorry no. If you can open FTX Central v2, go to settings\ troubleshooting\ start diagnostic reporter, a long number will be generated .Please copy and paste that number into a post. Thanks. smokeyupahead
This one is from the FSXSE option: ot9c79bc5e1ca5cf58e86ee909f71caa99 This one is from the FSX option: ot5de9786f46b3d006d2f6a957d27f5e0f Thanks
smokeyupahead
And airport buildings at Essa are missing now. All black. Should I use the FTX Central for FSX option since I applied the fix (0) in the registry? Changes in FSXSE Orbx scenery seam to apply when I use it. Nick Cooper
Yes. You may well need to re-install your products. I expect that the required files for ESSA will be in the FSX-SE folder.
Nick Cooper
You should be able to remove the FTX Central start menu if you use the Registry Editor to delete the Dovetail Games entry from here: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\DovetailGames That will leave FTX Central using only the FSX folders. When I installed them the installer gave me the only option to install to FSX but then it gave me the path to my steam FSX. That's what I should be looking for when I install scenery from Orbx I guess.
smokeyupahead
I think all is good Nick if I use the FSX option for Ftx Central. I will reinstall Lc Europe and Vector and see what happens.
smokeyupahead
All is good with vector and the mesh. Happy now. Should I still remove the Dovetail entry? How do I even have that here!
Nick Cooper
If you are confident enough to edit the registry, it would tidy up the loose end.

I don't want to remove FTX Central anymore, it is working as it should now. If removing this will help keep things tidy in the future and won't screw up my sim I will do so. Do I just delete that folder from the registry or the FSX folder underneath it, or the microsoft folder above the entry? All I do is right click and delete, correct? Thanks. Nick Cooper
Just delete DovetailGames. Right click on Dovetail Games only and select delete. Don't touch anything else and the only effect will be to remove the start menu from FTX Central.

One more question please: If I want to edit the FSXSE cfg file I have to go to the one in the FSX folder, correct? ... the one in "username, appdata, microsoft, fsx? Nick Cooper
Yes. Now you seem to have it set up as it should be, you can and must treat FSX Steam as if it were FSX DVD, because that is pretty much what it is. You can safely delete all three external folders named FSX-SE.
