kman7233
I'm trying to install Cushman Meadow into my FSX:SE. Unfortunately there is no Option in the Installer to select the Steam version. The installer instead selects automatically the legacy FSX version. Before, I installed the FTX PNW where I got the option to chose between FSX:SE and FSX. It appeared to be a newer version of the installer. Is there any way to get Cushman meadow installed into my FSX:SE folder? I read in other posts to use the FSX Registry Utility. Can I switch back and forth between the to pathes or am I in danger to trash on of my FSX versions? Please Help! Thanks, Joerg
Nick Cooper
Yes you can amend the registry. You can also rename the FSX-SE folders to FSX while you install. There is still no official support for having both FSX versions on the same PC.
kman7233
Thanks for the quick answer! Are there any problems known for switching the registries back and forth? Is there a chance , that Cushman Meadow will receive the new installer as well, which would eliminate the problem?
Nick Cooper
Eventually all products will have the same updated installer.
kman7233
Sorry to disturb you again: Everything worked well, I got everything installed in SE. Unfortunately all the buildings of the add-on sceneries are missing. Everything else seems to be working: Cars driving, Planes parked, windsock, fencec BUT no buildings. Any suggestions? Nick Cooper
Assuming that you have correctly installed the latest library version to each FSX version: Probably the objectflow.dll entry is missing from the dll.xml file. It can be found at C:\Users\Your name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX and C:\Users\Your name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX-SE. It can be added by using the ModuleInstaller.exe to be found at ORBX\FTX_AU\FTXAA_ORBXLIBS\Scenery and targeting the right folder.
kman7233
The Object Flow is installed correctly, the library is installed as well and I got the Object flow entry in the dll.xml file. Still no buildings. And I noticed: No sound as well! Anything else I might be missing?
kman7233
I installed Libraries / PNW / Cushman meadow to the legacy FSX folder and it worked. But still no success with the FSX:SE version. Any idea? Thanks!
