Google earth has it so I believe it ,but who picked that nasty shade of green (in the real world) and what purpose does it serve? Just to delineate the concrete from soft soil? Matt McGee Posted December 31, 2015 Share Posted December 31, 2015 If I remember correctly, the green paint is there to provide visual contrast with the taxiways and aircraft movement areas, thus making it easier for pilots to see where they are supposed to taxi. The standard yellow edge markings are all still there, but the green just beyond them really does stand out. I also believe that the green has been painted on concrete and/or asphalt, not soil.
