Flying around Hobart,Light aircraft,low and slow,Lush farmland,with fps set to 25 fps am getting around 20-25 fps..Generally windowed mode is around 7-10 fps lower.SCenery of this quality even looks good at the lower frame rates. dreamfleet1 Posted March 7, 2008 Share Posted March 7, 2008 I am using full screen also and with similar performance / difference in FPS between windowed mode (8800GTX 512mb). Had a lot of fun last nice as I took the Extra 300 around at about 150' and 150 kts to explore the country. So far simply exceptional, smooth, incredible! Overall, and FTX scenery aside (even with default scenery), switching to full screen will usually double the FPS. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Wolter van der Spoel Posted March 7, 2008 Share Posted March 7, 2008 just for informational purposes, when in windowed mode the sim uses the desktop settings for the vidcard, when in full screen mode it uses the vidcard settings for fsX ergo if you use the fsX settings for your desktop you wil even have slightly higher fps in windowed mode.
