PENDING OpenLC EU Not Added to Scenery Library P3Dv3

Hi

 

I have just installed the FTX Global Base Pack successfully, and it all appears as it should (I think...)

 

Following that I tried openLC Europe, but it didn't seem to make any visible change to the scenery in the sim.

 

Upon checking the Scenery Library there are no new additional entries added which is odd. From the manual I think there should be a further nine added lines.

 

Have I done something wrong?

Did you click "Apply Group" in FTX Central, for the FTX Global group?

I did that, yes.

I've done a bit more digging and discovered that the entries are actually there in the scenery.cfg file when opened in notepad (I'd been looking using SceneryConfigEditor previously at something called 'NewScenery.cfg')

Don't really know why, but every time I save a file in SceneryConfigEditor it saves as 'NewScenery.cfg', and I think this 'new' file was causing some of the problem.

So it looks like the installer did actually do its thing properly and I think I've now got it solved, but I'm still a bit confused about why the scenery editor tries to rename the cfg file...

It looks as if a read of some of these pages would help you with the Scenery Config Editor.

It is a very useful tool indeed but you do need to have an understanding at least the basics

of it.

I will read further into it, always keen to expand my knowledge.

I've been using SCE for some time now and it has been extremely useful.
