Valcor
I've read the manual on FTX mode and understand to enable/disable for AU flights and also that is ok to leave on outside of AU too with little to no side effects. I was just wondering what exactly am I leaving enabled if I were to leave it on and fly in the U.S. or anywhere for that matter.
John Venema
1. lclookup.bgl changes to slope calls and class mappings for G region. 2. Terrain.cfg changes for our roads and lights system, plus some tweaks for "rocks in rivers" problems with default 3. Custom trees (should only affect maple, oak and pine scrub outside Oz) 4. Custom autogendescriptions.bgl/xml and roofdescriptions.bgl/xml files 5. Matched bridge road textures 6. Custom autogen sheets for regions G,I, T,Z (should affect very few places outside Oz). A complete list is there for anyone to see in ORBX\Scripts\customfiles.cfg ' ' List of custom Orbx files to be switched by FTXmode.exe ' The path contained in the filename is relative to the Flight Simulator X root folder. That's why we recommend FTX Mode OFF if you change your setup in any way with new addons. That way, whatever other developers want to change will be backed up when you FTX Mode ON again. Simple. Hope that clarifies?
Valcor
Gotchya. Thanks for the explanation. So basically I'll only worry about turning it off when I install something new
