As an owner of Global, Vector and 9 full fat regions, I was wondering about integration of the freeware airport packs. 1. Do you have to SWITCH to Global in FTX Central before installing these airports? 2. Once installed, do you have to be in Global Mode or can I still fly to these airports with the sim set to North America Group in Central? Please advise. Thanks! Vora Posted October 19, 2015 Share Posted October 19, 2015 The airports of the freeware airport packs are all located outside the full fat regions, so you have to switch to Global if you are using these airports. Stewart Hobson Posted October 19, 2015 Share Posted October 19, 2015 Just a comment: I have found little difference in ticking North America or Global when flying to/from the freeware airports. However, when flying from or into a full region it's advisable to tick Global/Hybrid, so that you get the full benefit of the full region's scenery.
